Living
in Wisconsin is terrific. We have four different and unique seasons.
We have access to two of the largest fresh water lakes in the world
(Lakes Michigan and Superior). We have access to two beautiful national
forests (Chequamegon National Forest and Nicolet National Forest).
And, if we want a state operated OHV trail to ride on, all we need
to do is visit the neighboring states of Iowa, Minnesota, or Michigan
to find one.
If you’re tired of being a resident of the only state in the
region which does not have a state sponsored OHV trail system or recreational
area then let your national and state officials hear about it!
Please
make this the year that you get involved. The “I just wanna
wheel” attitude plays right into the hands of those whom would
like to see our recreational pursuits become a thing of the past.
Write to your state and national officials and let them know how important
it is to you that you have a place to wheel. Get involved personally
and support groups like Tread Lightly, the Blue Ribbon Coalition,
and the Lake States Resource Alliance. You can make a difference!
To
get involved simply click, print, sign and send! Please be sure to
change the letter date, along with your name and address. Requires
Microsoft Word.
