STATE COMPREHENSIVE OUTDOOR RECREATION PLAN (SCORP) is started--preplanning occurring NOW! Currently there is discussion in the DNR—it has not been open to us for discussion as of yet. Evaluation of numbers of users of various recreational entities has been given to a group at the University to establish. I will be contacting the DNR SCORP coordinator on this and also am work with Pat Jacobosky to see if what he is trying to do to determine numbers of users of 4 Wheel Drive vehicles can help with the SCORP determinations. Also in talking to the SCORP coordinator he said that this fall they be doing a random phone calling to see what type of recreational activities individuals are interested in and from that determine numbers of users. This would include the question “Did you go offroad 4 wheel driving—like with a jeep?”
